I like gate manga, but i did not enjoy the anime much. I also hate the GATE MC in both versions, for basicaly the exact same reasons you do.

Don’t mind me staying subbed, I just remember the channel exists every couple of years and come back to binge your videos. You basically made little teenage me realize that media had “meaning” and “quality” - that I could form genuine personal opinions beyond the bare minimum of the text being directly presented to me. I fell off naturally over time as my interest in anime faded and was replaced by other things but I still really value your channel and content.

Gate had an interesting idea, its sad that it was just an army progapanga its a modern army going into a fantasy world, not a modern army going into a medieval world. fantasy worlds have magic, magic items, different rules, even warriors move at speed of light etc etc, not to mention the legendary creatures, gods and demigods yet the author of this thing only thought, hmmm magic is weak, tank and gun better. haha medieval shield cant take the power or the japanese army bullets, i could made the shields actually stronger by saying they were made with demonic ore and enchanted with durability to take a nuke? yes i could, but army goes bambambambam

Listen to Lupe Fiasco if you haven't heard of him, it will blow your mind, if you don't rate him above Kdot he's definitely going to be in your top 5. He's always stayed independent so he's not as visible as many other lyrical masters. Prepare for needing a few weeks to go through every album though, they're dense :D The GOAT title isn't about downloads or sales, it's about recognition by your peers, IMO. As a rule of thumb, if you see characters that are: A child, a child that's actually 900 years old ☝️🤓 and a woman with big boobs (extra points if she's an elf), you can deduce the anime is going to be garbage

The wordiness gets a tad bit better. I love Umineko to death, but I agree with what you said. Also, there's a bigger jump in writing quality between episodes in Higurashi than Umineko. Higurashi was written when R07 was still working as a social worker, I believe. The answer arcs of Higurashi are waaaaaayyyyyyyyyy betterrr than the question arcs, in my opinion.

Its just the overlap that gets me. Dreams are clearly based on some kind of reality. You could excuse everything and say no one can control all of any reality. Its the same with loli. When you say this, its like you might as well be ok with liking children. Not to put this on anyone, but it's how you would remember the situation. It can provoke whatever is real to you or other people. About the show, they likely know they will get that same feedback. But that's how the indifference goes and no one can properly explain a legal basis.

Inuyasha was my first anime. It’s no longer my absolute favorite anime, but I still cherish it to this day and will rewatch my favorite arcs when I feel nostalgic. I remember learning how to timer record my TV to VHS so I could record the late Adult Swim showings and then watch first thing in the morning and then rewatch over and over again until the next episode aired. lol, I probably still have at least the first 3 seasons on VHS somewhere. The soundtrack will forever live rent-free in my heart. ❤️

I enjoy Prisma Illya for entirely Non Sexual reasons. Some people find that baffling but to me it's artstyle isn't Sexy at all, all the Fate/ character look sexier in their regular artstyle.

I have watched several Umineko readthroughs and the pace you're moving at I estimate 25-30 hours per episode. Solo playthroughs take about 20 hours per episode, and fully voice acted while listening to all the VA work takes about 40 hours per episode.
